My name is Dr. David Robinson and I specialise in collecting and researching Celtic coins. I’m currently working on a die study of the Geometric quarter staters found in the south and south west regions, and I’ve previously helped show that the long maligned Bearded Head quarter staters are in fact genuine and the companion to British C. I help run the largest and most active Iron Age Coin group on Facebook and I’m in contact with many Celtic Coin experts to access the most up-to-date research.
I’m passionate about providing the most accurate and up-to-date information about each coin which is why many of the coins on the site are identified to the die level, with rarities values given for the dies themselves as well as the overall type. The rarity values I use are always taken from the latest work on the subject.
