All items purchased through the website can be returned for a refund. Please read the general conditions and the appropriate section below:
General conditions
- In all cases, please place your name, contact details, and invoice number in any returned packages so that we can identify who sent it
- Items remain your property until they are received by us. It is your responsibility to make sure that they are packaged and insured appropriately. Items damaged or lost before they reach us will not be refunded
- If you are returning a coin, we recommend using “Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm®” with the appropriate level of insurance.
- Money will be refunded to the method you used to pay. For example, if you paid by credit card, we will refund to that card.
My Item Arrived Damaged
You have the option of returning the item or getting a replacement if we have the item in stock.
Process
- Contact us within 14 days of receiving the item and let us know if you want to return it or get a replacement
- Please include a photo of the damage
- We will contact you to discuss the next steps
- We may require you to return the damaged item. If so, return it to us in the same state you received it within 14 days of contacting us.
- We will issue a refund when we receive the items. Delivery charges will be refunded, but are limited to the cheapest acceptable option. For example, if you could acceptably ship it back to us for £7, we won’t refund a £200 courier charge. Please check with us first.
Conditions
- Misattributions, errors in descriptions, and any variance in photographs (for example, due to lighting or displays), are not considered damage

Process

- We will issue a refund when we receive the item. Delivery charges are not included in the refund

- We may reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods if this has been caused by you
I Don’t Believe the Coin is Authentic
All coins we sell are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. However, mistakes sometimes happen and we will give a full refund subject to the conditions below.
Process
- Contact us and let us know that you want to return it. There is no time limit on this. Please include your reasons for thinking the coin isn’t genuine
- We will contact you to discuss the next steps
- Return the coin to us in the same state you received it within 14 days of contacting us. Please read the section in the “General Conditions” about how to return the coin
- We will issue a refund when we receive the coin and satisfy ourselves that it isn’t authentic
Conditions
- We will only deal with the original purchaser, or his/her representatives
- We may ask to see written proof that the coin isn’t genuine from a recognised specialist
- Coins that don’t mention authenticity in their description will be deemed not authentic if they turn out to be contemporary forgeries or modern forgeries. For example, if a stater turns out to be plated
- Coins sold as contemporary forgeries will only be deemed not authentic if they turn out to be modern forgeries
- Coins sold with any caveats about their authenticity will not be eligible for refunds if they turn out not to be genuine
- Misattributions, errors in descriptions, and any variance in photographs (for example, due to lighting or displays), are not considered problems with authenticity
- The refund will be limited to the original purchase price including all delivery costs. Any subsequent losses from reselling the coin are not covered. Delivery costs are limited to the cheapest acceptable option. For example, if you could acceptably ship it back to us for £7, we won’t refund a £200 courier charge. Please check with us first.
